Donev is a producer from Arkhangelsk, a city on the White Sea in northern Russia. Nature, travel and music are a big part of his life, and they run through his Soundhitectures debut, Vatra Game EP (12 April 2018).
The EP has three tracks, Vatra Game, Maseta Game (feat. Luis Salazar) and Voyager II, and is full of layered ethnic sounds in a neat combination of drums, vocals and dreamy melodies: lightweight, organic and slow. The closing track is built around audio from the Voyager 2 space mission. It was mixed and mastered by Evident. A follow-up, Pinega EP featuring Terya, followed in 2019.
